After leaving school in 2000, Emma trained as a Fitness Instructor alongside her college studies in Sport and Exercise Science. She worked as a Fitness Instructor before eventually deciding on a career as a PE Teacher. Emma trained at De Montfort University, Bedford which became The University of Bedfordshire during her third year of study. She was part of the many changes at Bedford College of PE when it moved to Polhill campus. Emma studied BA (Hons) PE with QTS and graduated from UOB in 2008 with First class honours. She secured her post as PE Teacher and Head of Dance at Harlington Upper School.
Emma's dissertation focussed on the promotion of Behaviour for Learning and this is an area that she continues to research in her current MA Education studies, also at UOB. Emma has introduced Dance to Harlington Upper School and this continues to grow. She has now firmly established the place of GCSE Dance, BTEC Dance and Rock Challenge within the school. Emma looks forward to further challenge and opportunity within her career.
Emma joined the BPEOSA committee upon graduation from Bedford and has enjoyed being a part of the team.
